Recently Microsoft’s Gabe Aul has posted an update regarding the status of the Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview program . microsoft explains that it had to select phones that had sufficient partition sizes. While that limited the number of phones that could handle the Technical Preview, Microsoft has come up with a way to increase the number of handsets that will receive the next Technical Preview.
Thanks to a process called "partition stitching," Microsoft can re-size the partition dynamically, allowing the update to be sent to more models. The "partition stitching" was tested last week by Microsoft. The company says that another week of engineering is needed to make sure that the next Technical Preview will be representative of Windows 10 for all of the units that will be allowed to install it.
